Muay Thai Genius girl and Corona.

Saya Ito, she started practicing Muay Thai when she was 4 years old and has been active in Thailand as well. She is the current WBC Muay Thai World Women’s Mini-Flyweight Champion, the current WMC World Women’s Mini-Flyweight Champion, the former WPMF World Women’s Pinnacle Champion, and many other championship belts. I did.

When I asked Ito how she spent his time during the period of restraint at Corona, he said, “I took a break from training. She continued to run, but the gym was closed and she had to take a break from work, so “I spent a lot of time at home,” she said.

Now that the gym has reopened and she’s back at work, he says, “I’m getting back to my normal life. When I asked Ito what her future goals are, she said, “I would like to fight the Thai girl I was supposed to fight in Muehlok. If not for Corona, Ito has a fight scheduled for April 26 at Mueiroku Hachioji 2020 against Krapdam Thorm Ampet (Thai/WPMF World Mini Flyweight Champion)
It had been done.

Muay thai or Kickboxing

“Will you focus on Muay thai ?”When I turned the water on her, she said with a bashful smile, “I think I’m done with kicks. I wondered if her last loss had affected him, but she said, “Muay Thai is more interesting.

In fact, unlike kickboxing, which skips from one round to the next, Muay Thai gradually picks up the pace after one or two rounds. While Muay Thai fights last five rounds, most kickboxing fights in Japan are three rounds long, so the challenge for Muay Thai fighters who gradually increase the pace of their fights is to get into a rhythm.

“I’m the type of fighter who gradually increases the pace, so it’s easier for me to do Muay Thai,” said Ito, “but actually, Muay Thai has its own challenges. Lately, One Champion Ship has seen a lot of women’s kickboxing matches at One Champion Ship, as well as a lot of TV matches in Thailand, such as Muay Hardcore and Muay Thai Super Fight. Here, in terms of television appearance, the idea is to settle the fight in short rounds, with a flashy knock out scene in mind. It’s a tough situation for Ito, who is gradually increasing the pace of the fight.

This isn’t the only thing that’s bothering Ito. Recently, he has been thinking about making his physicality stronger. She says, “I used to be able to get by with my technique alone, but recently there are many things I can’t do with technique alone. The image of Ito is one of a fighter who plays with his opponents with kicks from mid-range and long distance, but now she aims to improve his power so that she will not lose to his opponents even when he fights.

“I want to do as much Muay Thai as possible,” says Ito. Whether she can reign as a dominant empress after all her struggles, instead of a girl, is a challenge that she will continue to face.
